HEAD OF DANVILLE REGION
Kendra has been with SSVA since 2012 after almost 13 years with the Commonwealth of Virginia. She is originally from the Hampton Roads area but has been in Danville for over 20 years.
She has proven to be a dedicated leader and has a strong customer focus. She uses her background in Business Management and Accounting to ensure that our customers and employees have an opportunity to live full and happy lives.
She and her husband Shane can be found camping at a local Campground every weekend from the spring through the fall each year. She is also an animal lover and has a dog and 2 cats that are her “kids”.
In her spare time, she enjoys camping, swimming, cooking, and playing cards, games, or crafting with her friends and family.
REGIONAL HUMAN RESOURCES COORDINATOR
While being a stay at home mom to her three children, Barbara dedicated years to serving the community through various organizations and churches including the roll of Cubmaster for a very active Cub Scout pack. She also helped out with multiple sports programs, volunteered at her children’s schools, and to this day dedicates many hours to her Church.
Barbara decided to return to the workforce in 2008 and joined the SSVA family in June of 2011.
She says that one of the things she loves about working in the Human Resources field is that it is never boring and is always challenging. Barbara loves working and being with people and is always willing to lend a helping hand in any way possible.
Barbara also has 6 grandchildren and in her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, planning parties, relaxing, playing games and going to the movies with her husband.
REGIONAL SENIOR SITE COORDINATOR
Leslie began her career in the Human Services field 14 years ago. She moved to Danville from Georgia in 2018 and began working as a Direct Support Professional with SSVA in December of 2018.
It was clear from the start that she had a lot to offer and that she is a great leader. She was originally promoted to an Assistant Site Coordinator, then to a Site Coordinator and now she is the Senior Site Coordinator supervising a great team of current and future leaders.
Leslie is a self-motivated person and strives to be the best she can at whatever she does. She has a passion for helping others.
Leslie is married and has 6 children and 4 grandchildren. In her spare time, Leslie loves spending time with her family and just enjoying the outdoors.
SERVICE COORDINATOR (QDDP), REGIONAL HUMAN RIGHTS ADVOCATE
Beth started with SSVA in June of 2011. She has been in the Human Service field for more than 20 years and began as a Direct Support Professional.
She finds it both rewarding and challenging working with people with various disabilities. She enjoys helping others to live the life they want and encourages and supports them to make their own life decisions and to be a valued part of their community.
Beth has had various roles at SSVA’s Southside Division and is currently a Service Coordinator (QDDP), the Human Rights Advocate, the Sponsored Residential Manager, and she also lends a hand with recruitment when needed.
Beth is married and has two grown children and two granddaughters. She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and walking on trails. She is an active member of her Church and loves to help others in the community in her spare time.
SERVICE COORDINATOR (QDDP)
Jacki has been working with individuals with developmental disabilities for over 25 years. She joined the SSVA team in June of 2011. She started as a DSP and then moved up to a Site Coordinator role and then to the Service Coordinator role she currently holds.
She received a double major in Business Administration and Equestrian studies from Averett University.
Jacki is interested in getting to know people and listening to them one on one. She prides herself on being an advocate for all individuals and for those we support and she incorporates their desires in their support plans using Person-Centered Practices.
Jacki is married and has one grown son. She loves animals and enjoys reading, the outdoors, cooking for her husband, talking to her family and friends, and playing with her pets.
REGIONAL TRAINING COORDINATOR, GROUP HOME SITE COORDINATOR
Linda started in this field over 21 years ago as a Direct Support Professional. She has been with SSVA since June of 2011.
After directing the Youth team at her church, she realized she was a good leader and worked towards becoming a Site Coordinator. Then once again, while teaching Sunday School she realized that she also loves to learn and to share her wealth of knowledge. She then worked towards becoming a Trainer for others in this field. Linda now serves as both a Site Coordinator and the Training Coordinator for the Danville Division.
Linda is married, has two grown children and four grandchildren. She enjoys spending time with her family, especially Sunday dinner with her grandchildren.
In her spare time, she likes watching game shows like Jeopardy, shopping, eating out, listening to music and just enjoying a simple life.
