Dragonfly Guest House

Day-to-day life can be stressful and everyone needs a break now and then!  If you share your life with a person who has an intellectual diesability, Dragonfly Guest House could offer you a unique getaway option.

Dragonfly Guest House is a fully licensed support option for individuals with special needs who would like a vacation or are in need of temporary overnight respite services.

Dragonfly is located in Virginia Beach at the Oceanfront, just a few blocks away from an abundance of recreational fun.

Jeanne Cullison, the host at Dragonfly Guest House, has more than 30 years experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.  She has provided a variety of supports, including supervision, development of behavioral and training plans, social work, classroom teaching, formal and informal assessment, and staff training, BUT her favorite thing to do is just spend time with folks who relate to the world in non-standard ways, especially when she has the chance to meet a new person. She has experience helping folks who have a variety of physical / medical concerns, has been a certified EMT and utilizes basic sign language.

Dragonfly Guest House services can be made available by reservation or on short-notice for individuals who discover themselves in need of temporary supports.  We offer a solution to critical situations that arise due to a need for emergency placement, difficulties with housemates, adjustment periods, transition periods, special medical circumstances, family emergencies and other unanticipated events.

All referrals will be carefully matched for successful outcomes.  Dragonfly is fully  licensed and staffed by certified providers with long term and widely ranging experience.

We accept waiver payment, resite, municipal party general funds, private pay and DAP funds.
